About Us
At Positive Care Consultancy, we’ve seen firsthand the real challenges children’s homes face from gaps in leadership and quality assurance to a lack of truly trauma-informed care.
After working across various residential settings, we recognised how often managerial inexperience, limited oversight, and an absence of reflective practice left young people without the consistent, nurturing care they deserve.
But we also saw the potential.
With the right support, structure, and training in place, homes can go beyond simply meeting compliance standards. They can become places of safety, healing, and hope where young people feel seen, heard, and genuinely cared for.
That’s why we do what we do. We work alongside homes as a critical friend, bringing regulation expertise, practical tools, and a values-led approach that helps teams grow confident, consistent, and child-focused in everything they do.
By launching our health and social care and Regulation 44 consultancy business, we wanted to provide practical, expert-led support to children’s homes, helping them raise standards, embed trauma-informed care, and ensure strong leadership. Our goal is to equip providers with the tools, knowledge, and accountability needed to go beyond just meeting regulations – to truly change lives for the better.
